Dominican mangos are similar to honey mangos and tend to be a bit smaller than other varieties, but, definitely make up for it in flavour. Honey mangos are creamy and sweet with no fibres throughout. The small seed means there's more mango flesh to enjoy!
Keep any unripe mangos at room temperature. Mangos shouldn’t be refrigerated before they are ripe. They will continue to ripen at room temperature becoming sweeter and softer to the touch within several days. To speed up the ripening process place mangos in a paper bag with a ripe banana.
Once ripe, mangos can then be moved to the refrigerator, this will slow down the ripening process. Whole, ripe mangos may be stored for up to five days in the refrigerator.
